I grew up in a creative environment with heavy influences from my parents. My mother has always been a painter, sketcher, 3D artist, and actor. My father has been in the radio, theatre, and music world in every way you can imagine. They showed me the doors to stage theatre when I was 8 years old and I never looked back.
Happiness, love, and passion for me come from creating things, however that looks. Cooking creative dishes for my family, being in every musical and stage show at my high school, pursuing pottery and sculpting, participating in an improv team for years, sketching and painting, doing digital art, whatever it is, I've always loved telling stories.
I began my professional creative endeavors by dropping out of my second year of college to pursue working in the film industry back in 2013. That worked out for me well as I did 7 years of commercial acting and 4 years of set construction and set decoration totaling out to over 10 years in the industry (in which you can find me credited mostly under "Christian 'Crispy Boi' Pollak" or "C.S. Pollak"). I realized I wanted more control over the stories I tell though.
Some friends and I got together and began playing Dungeon World (a form of Dungeons & Dragons) and had such a blast that one of those friends and I got together with the idea of recording a podcast of a completely improvised story in Dungeon World. We put our brains and skills together and made what eventually become "Roll & Tell" boosting my creative skills through audio editing and production, and fueling my already huge desire to tell incredible stories with my voice through the audio medium.
I'm extremely proud of what I've accomplished so far in my life, but I know I have so much more to come. I can't wait to continue to grow and improve my skills with whatever stories come next.
